Dr. Michael Z. Fein, DPM, is the Chief of Podiatric Surgery at Danbury Hospital and is in private practice in Bethel, CT. Dr. Fein is affiliated with Connecticut Family Orthopedics, the Morganti Wound Center at Danbury Hospital, the Carrier Advisory Committee (CAC) with National Government Services, the Medicare Intermediary for Connecticut, the Society of Vascular Surgery, and board advisor to the Connecticut Podiatric Medical Association. Dr. Fein is a board-certified surgeon and serves as a claims reviewer for numerous commercial insurance companies.
Dr. Timothy Cheung is a Podiatric Surgical Resident at Yale New Haven Hospital and served past residencies at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science, Boston University, and Quinnipiac University. Dr. Cheung also serves as a Podiatric Student Researcher at Massachusetts General Hospital: Orthopedic Foot & Ankle Center, the Weil Foot & Ankle Institute, and the Center for Lower Extremity Ambulatory Research (CLEAR). Outside of podiatry, he is a certified personal trainer and has experience in sports medicine.
Dr. Buonocore is a plastic and reconstructive surgeon practicing at Saint Francis Hospital in Hartford. Dr. Buonocore obtained his medical degree from SUNY Upstate Medical University and completed his Plastic Surgery Residency and Hand & Microsurgery Fellowship at Yale University School of Medicine. Dr. Buonocore‘s interests include hand and nerve surgery, skin cancers including melanoma, breast reconstruction, free tissue transfer, and other complex reconstructive procedures.
Roberta Nole is the owner of Stride™ Custom Foot Orthotic Laboratory and inventor of the patented QuadraSTEP and littleSTEP foot orthotic systems. Nole additionally serves as a physical therapist and certified pedorthist with a master's degree in sports medicine and biomechanics. Nole is patented on a foot-typing algorithm that can identify 24 variations of the normal human foot and is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, the Pedorthic Footwear Association. She also serves as a fellow for both the American Academy of Podiatric Practice Management and the American College of Foot and Ankle Pediatrics.
Carissa Beaulieu is a registered nurse with a background in ASC. Prior to entering the ASC space, Beaulieu worked in home health as Manager of Clinical Practice. Beaulieu received her bachelor's degree from WCSU and is currently working towards CASC certification. She is an active member of Becker’s Annual Review Committee and is passionate about the professional growth and development of her team that promotes engagement, empowerment, and, ultimately, the best and safest patient experience.
Herbert J. Shepardson serves doctors as an arbitrator and mediator in personal injury and contract matters in personal injury claims. Shepardson has lectured to numerous groups on tort and professional liability issues and has served as an adjunct professor of law at Western New England College School of Law, where he taught Legal Ethics and Trial Methods. Shepardson holds membership with the American Board of Trial Advocates, the Connecticut and Hartford County Bar Associations, the National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals, and the Connecticut Defense Lawyers Association.
Dr. Kush Desai was born and raised in Connecticut. He is currently Chief Resident in the Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residency Program at Saint Francis Hospital & Medical Center and oversees training for first and second-year residents. Desai also holds a bachelor's degree from Boston University and received his Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine from Temple University. He is an active member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and the American Podiatric Medical Association.
