President’s Message • Fall 2025
President's Message From the desk of Adam Mucinskas
Dear CPMA Members,
As my term as CPMA President comes to a close, I want to take a moment to reflect on what has been a truly remarkable year for our association and our profession. Together, we’ve continued to advance the voice of podiatric medicine in Connecticut through advocacy, education, and collaboration, and it has been an honor to serve this community.
Our 2025 Annual Symposium at Foxwoods was a great reminder of the strength and unity of our profession. Thank you to all who attended, presented, exhibited, or contributed to making this year’s event such a success. Your engagement and enthusiasm drive CPMA forward, and I couldn’t be prouder of what we accomplished together.
This year also marked meaningful progress on the legislative front. Through the efforts of our advocacy team and with your support, CPMA played a key role in advancing several important measures. We helped ensure podiatric physicians remain recognized as physicians under Connecticut law, worked to expand access to Medicaid coverage for essential podiatric services, and continued our fight for fee parity and fair provider reimbursement. These wins reinforce our position as a respected voice at the Capitol and strengthen our ability to serve patients across the state.
I want to extend my deepest gratitude to our outgoing Board Members, Dr. Kristen Winters and Dr. Farlyn Charlot, for their years of leadership, guidance, and dedication to CPMA. Their commitment to advancing podiatric medicine and mentoring peers has made a lasting impact on our association and our profession.
To our incoming Board Members, welcome. I am excited for you to bring your energy, ideas, and commitment to help lead CPMA into its next chapter of growth and advocacy. I look forward to seeing the continued impact you will make as we work together to strengthen the profession and support our members.
I also want to recognize The Markens Group for their partnership and continued support in managing CPMA’s operations and thank Linda Kowalski and Dave Boomer for their tireless legislative work on behalf of our members. Most importantly, thank you to our membership for your engagement, collaboration, and trust that make CPMA a respected and unified voice for podiatry in Connecticut.
As we look ahead, I encourage each of you to stay involved. Consider serving on a committee, volunteering for a leadership role, or inviting a colleague to join CPMA. The more we participate, the stronger our collective voice becomes.
It has been a privilege to serve as your President and represent this incredible association. I leave confident that CPMA is in excellent hands with Dr. Jesse Parks, whose leadership, integrity, and vision will continue to guide our profession forward.
Thank you for the opportunity to serve and for all that you do each day to advance podiatric medicine in Connecticut.
Warm regards,
Adam Mucinskas, DPM
