4 REASONS TO JOIN

I’m Dr. Marc Lederman, executive director of CPMA—the Connecticut Podiatric Medical Association.

Whether you’re in postgraduate training, have an active practice, teach full-time, or are retired—there is a place for you in the CPMA.

Here are just a few reasons why you should join our thriving community of podiatrists today:

Marc Lederman

1. CONTINUE LEARNING WITH CPMA

Learning is a lifelong endeavor, and CPMA helps you hone your skills. Events like our Cadaveric Labs give hands-on experience.  Our annual symposium is always well attended and informative.  Online learning materials let you stay at the forefront of the profession.  And all of these opportunities give you continuing medical education credits.

2. GROW YOUR PRACTICE WITH CPMA

Marketing should be a top priority for podiatrists, but it’s hard to find the time when you’re caring for patients or managing a practice. CPMA can help.  All members are added to the “Find a Podiatrist” feature on our website where potential patients can find you. We also publish “how to” articles and share timely and relevant content on our website, email newsletter, and social media networks. You’ll benefit from the shared learning of our close-knit community here in Connecticut as well as resources from the American Podiatric Medical Association. All these tools help you build your practice without a significant time investment.

3. CPMA ADVOCATES FOR YOU

CPMA has your back. We regularly educate the legislators in Connecticut and the U.S. Congress on the importance of Podiatric medicine. For example, our legislative work secured the surgical ankle privileges here in Connecticut that podiatrists enjoy today. With CPMA, you know that your voice is being heard at the state and federal levels.

4. CPMA CONNECTS YOU TO COMMUNITY

CPMA brings together the entire podiatric community in Connecticut, and that means stronger personal connections and a stronger profession. Our annual Symposium brings the Podiatrists and dozens of vendors together for innovative lectures and networking. We also participate in community service events like the Connecticut Special Olympics, Footwear with Care and local races and charities.  There are so many opportunities to get involved and build your network.

Visit cpma.org to learn more. And please, there’s never been a better time to join our community.
